More Stanley Park Images

My favorite photo from the trip
Rafi, Matthew, and I. For those of you not familiar with grad school lingo, Rafi is our post doc (he already has his PhD and is working in our lab), Matthew is the PI (principal investigator--person in charge of the research that is conducted, aka boss), and I'm just a masters student (masters, typically 2 years of graduate work, PhD is 5ish years). So I'm clearly at the bottom of this totem pole. Years of experience vs. months...
Rafi and Matthew couldn't get enough of this rose bush
A devastating storm ripped through the park a few years ago and uprooted many hundred-year-old trees. Apparently some trees fell on hikers, but everyone lived in the happy Canadian tale (you should have heard the accent on the guy telling the story!)
