A moment to breathe

My apologies for the absence and also for the brevity of this post... things have continued to be busy for us!  The weather is getting nicer and our weekends have been full.  It seems every evening I can pick one task to conquer, but Natalie didn't nap this afternoon so she went down early this evening, so I have a few moments to update the blog.
Two weekends ago was my friend Jane's baby's baptism so we spent a few hours with Jane and Robin and our friend Wyatt.  I think we confused some of the little old ladies at the church since Wyatt was holding and doting over both girls, and they weren't sure which one was his.  One of them asked him if Natalie was a daddy's girl and he just shrugged and smiled.  It was a nice service and afterwards Jane's aunt had us over for lunch.  I have spent quite a bit of time with Jane's family over the past few years so it was good to see them again and to take Natalie to meet them.  Natalie was pretty good all day until she decided it was nap time and we headed home.  Jane and Robin are back in Japan now, but it was good to see them the few times we did while they were here!

This past weekend was Easter.  Rick and I took Friday off which was really nice; we had a day to regroup and were able to head up to my parents' house earlier in the day instead of rushing after work and getting there only to put Natalie to bed.  It was a nice weekend; my mom babysat on Saturday while we ran to the outlet mall and the rest of the weekend was spent with my family.  It was a wonderful weekend, but we were exhausted by the time we got home!
And now we're almost halfway through the week with a much less exciting weekend planned, which is good.  Our house needs some serious cleaning and we both keep looking at it knowing that a weeknight simply won't get the job done.  I guess we do have plans for the weekend.
