Our little girl just keeps growing! She keeps us on our toes too, and we've been really busy lately. I keep thinking that one of these days life will slow down, but I'm sure that will never happen with a little one.
Two weekends ago we went to Center Grove Orchard where we wandered around with some friends. Most of the activities were geared toward kids 4-10ish, but Natalie did enjoy watching the older kids playing and she liked seeing the farm animals as well. We picked up some apples while we were there and I made an apple pie--nothing like the fruits of harvest!
Natalie seemed to enjoy her first Halloween. She was Cinderella (thanks Papaw and Nanny for the cute costume!) and she seemed to like her poofy dress. Daycare had a costume parade through the Child Serve facilities--the babies were so adorable in their costumes! I was surprised that no costume was duplicated across the dozen or so babies and they all were so well-behaved on their stroll through the halls. Natalie didn't do any trick-or-treating, but she did play in her costume while the bigger kids stopped by.
This past weekend my sister and her little girl came to visit. The girls were so excited to see one another on Friday night that they didn't really want to go to bed. Saturday they had such a big day. We played in the morning and then we headed down to the fairgrounds to the state cheerleading competition. My cousin's daughter's team did a great job and got second in the state! The girls were amazed by all the action and glitter and were very well behaved. After cheerleading we headed to Great Grandma's and I ran to a bridal shower. We then met back up with Rick and the five of us went out to eat. The girls are getting into table foods and did a good job eating and were pretty well behaved at the restaurant too. By the time we got home it was about bedtime, and the girls were crawling around while we were making up bedtime bottles. They got into chasing one another and got into a giggle fit--it was so adorable. They probably crawled around giggling for 20 minutes. Such goofy girls!
Sunday was much lower-key. My sister was volunteering at her old workplace so we watched Kendall for her. The girls played pretty well together, but Natalie was a bit fussy and not wanting to share her toys. I think the time change messed with her a little, but tonight was better. All in all it was a a great weekend and it was nice to have the girls together. I hope they'll always be good friends. And I hope they always get into giggle fits in their jammies doing nothing but playing with one another.
