The end of summer

Today is the official first day of autumn, so I thought I would recap the end of our summer.

  • We have only been able to attend one home ISU game so far, and I thought it would be fun to take Natalie with us.  It went as could be expected.  She loved tailgating and was ok for the first part of the game, but halfway through the first quarter I was down walking around the concourse with her.  We left by halftime (much to the relief of the woman in front of us).  We tried it, and it could have gone worse.  Since then, Natalie has gotten really into throwing her hands up and yelling touchdown!
  • I finally got to see the Phantom of the Opera!  It was great!
  • Rick went on vacation with his dad to Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain National Park.  Natalie and I had a good weekend of girl bonding!
  • I went flying for the first time in two years.  I was definitely rusty but it wasn't terrible.
  • We hosted my old coworkers for a barbecue.  It was great to catch up with them outside of work.
That almost covers the past month or so.  Next post will be about our first vacation as a family of three!
