Short (but hopefully sweet)

Sorry things have been sparse lately, but I'm preparing a presentation for the 10th International Mucopolysaccharide and Related Diseases. It's consuming all of my free time, and by it, I mean stressing out about the 10 minutes that I will stand in front of the world's experts on these diseases and present the research we are conducting at ISU. Many of these researchers have been working on the MPSs since before I was born. Me: since January. Directly before me is a name I know very well from reading paper after paper that he has published, presenting on the same disease and a similar topic. But my name looks kind of cool on the program--I'm early Saturday afternoon. Anyway, at this time next week I will be in Vancouver hopefully confidently awaiting my presentation. But right now, the pseudostress is ruling my summer. I swear, I'll get better in a few weeks. I will explain the MPSs later, but check out the MPS I site to get a general overview on what my work entails.

Other than that, waters are receding, headed to a Wartburg BBQ this weekend (and heard tornado sirens for the first time I can remember), and have been working hard at work. Rick has been busy on location and my friend Rhian from Hawaii will be staying with us this weekend. Busy times! Hope everyone is still afloat!

Good luck! You will survive and they will clap for you. You will WOW them with your vast knowledge...even in such a short time of research. ~Scarlett
