Just before we went on vacation, we completed a home improvement project. We'd been planning on sealing the fence all summer and the end of August was as dry and as good a time as any. Mom and Dad came down to help and Dad brought his nice sprayer. He bought it to paint the barn this summer and it made short work of 2 coats and 26 gallons of stain! We watched mostly while Dad worked, but the end result is nice. Now our fence is ready for winter.
September finished out nicely. State Council retreat and an ISU football game that didn't end so well for the Cyclones. October has been busy as well. Took Darby to the dog park for the first time (she loved it!), ate at Zombie Burger and saw La Cage Aux Folles with the girls. This past weekend was busy with a dinner with friends on Friday night, a funeral back home on Saturday, then off to Wartburg for homecoming on Saturday evening, and a double baby shower on Sunday morning. I was glad to be home on Sunday, but this week is a really busy one at work. On Wednesday I'll be presenting all of the summer's data in the morning and leading discussion in the afternoon. Whatever is decided in that meeting dictate how many changes I will have to make before my 11:59 PM deadline Wednesday night. Thursday will be a good day.
