Fall weekend!

Last week was a long one.  It's a busy time at work and Rick was in Texas visiting his parents, leaving Natalie and I home alone.  She's a great little girl and was pretty well-behaved the whole time, thank goodness!
Kendall the lamb and Natalie as Cinderella
Rick wasn't going to get home until late Saturday night, so Natalie, Darby, and I headed north to visit my family.  It was a great weekend seeing my parents, sister, cousins, and uncle.  Natalie was a bit of a mama's girl, but I'd like to contribute some of that to Rick being gone so I was the constant.  She also popped another tooth (making that 7!) so she was a little fussy.  Regardless, we had fun.
She loves the swing!
Saturday was a big day.  We went to watch my cousin's boys play flag football in the morning and Natalie did pretty well being passed around and watching.  It was a bit windy and cool, so we headed over to my sister's new place.  She and her family recently moved into her husband's grandma's old place which is a great house on a great piece of land.  Natalie and I spent most of the day there playing with her cousin Kendall and catching up with my sister.  Allyson is working on her photography skills so she also took some pictures--can't wait to see what she comes up with.  We also got some pictures of the girls in their Halloween costumes!
After playing most of the day with her cousin, we headed back to Grandma and Grandpa's house.  It was a beautiful fall day so we decided to spend some time outside.  Natalie loved it.  She loves swings and enjoyed the wagon ride around the yard.  She was amazed by the leaves and the dirt and grass--she was crawling all over the lawn and was pretty good at not putting the leaves in her mouth.  It was such a gorgeous day--I hope we have some more wonderful fall evenings in the near future!
We went out to eat Saturday night and Natalie did so well considering she had barely napped all day and we didn't get to the restaurant until almost bed time.  She was a little trooper!  Too much to see and do, no time to waste on naps!
We headed home on Sunday, and Rick was waiting for us.  Natalie was so excited to see him!  It was adorable: she kept looking at him and then looking at me as if to say, "Look, Mom, it's my dad!  Daddy's home!"  It was so cute.  We were really glad to see him after a long girls' week.  We had a good time, but we're glad he's home.
