T'was the day between Christmases

The work Christmas parties have come and gone and the days fall off the calendar one by one.  Every day a little closer to Christmas.

We celebrated with Rick's folks this week; we had very nice visit and are very thankful for the time we had together and the gifts we exchanged.  Today was the last day at work, and this one night is ours to transition from one family Christmas to the other.  Cleaning, packing, baking, and hopefully a moment of relaxing in one night.  Then tomorrow it all begins again.

Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year, full of tradition with my wonderful family.  I can't think of a better way to spend the holiday.  And of course Christmas day as well, spent in the warmth and familiarity of what I first knew as home with those who make it so special.

Wherever you are, whatever you celebrate, I hope you are surrounded by loved ones and that you have a very warm and blessed holiday.  Merry Christmas!
