Natalie has been making some milestones at home as well. She is really good at holding her head up now, and has even mastered smiling. It's funny; she smiles much more when Rick and I are together smiling at her than either one of us alone. It's cute, really. She's getting better and more smiley every day!
I have been having a lot of fun dressing up my little girl. I made a rule for us that if I have to put on pants (that are respectable in public), she has to be in something other than a sleeper. This way all of those cute outfits make it into rotation.
I also think she is going through a growth spurt. She has been eating more frequently than normal the past week or so and it seems that every time we do laundry there is at least one outfit that goes into the "too small" bin. I wish I knew how much she has gained recently, but I don't have a scale that sensitive so I guess we'll just have to wait until our doctor appointment in a few weeks. Regardless, she's a growing girl!
My parents will be in town later this week, so Rick and I will be going out for Valentine's Day while Grandma babysits. It's nice to have so many visitors and helpful hands around to help out with our little family! I only have two weeks left at home and I'm trying to juggle my play time with Natalie with some things I want to get done around the house (scrapbooking, sewing projects, etc.). There are never enough hours in the day.
As much as I think I'll be ready to go back to work, I know that dropping her off at daycare that first day will be very hard. These last few weeks will be a juggling act of many things, and time goes on whether I want it to or not. Here's hoping that I'm ready for that day when it comes.
