Hello all. Sorry I haven't written much lately, but not much exciting has happened. On the 3rd of July there were fireworks on the Naval Base, but Rick and I watched them from the mountain road to avoid traffic. I cleaned my car out on the 4th and that night Bonnie and Doug invited us on the sailboat to watch the fireworks from the harbor. Very cool.
Last weekend was spent being lazy (I was still recovering from Na Pali and work), though I did get invited over to Doug and Bonnie's for pizza and games. Rick was trimming their 10-foot hedge all day, so they invited me over later. And I saw the Transformers--very good.
Today I'm heading to a class on effective communication at the community college ('cause that's all we have on the island) and I'll start packing tonight, I swear! Rick and I leave on Friday for Texas and will be in Iowa July 20-24, though I'm finding it's not nearly long enough!
