Dad brought her down and she got her hooves trimmed and a bath in the past few days. This photo is from a few years ago, but it's my favorite of her. She's been really well behaved and I've been doing some ground work with her--maybe riding by the end of the week if she continues to be good. I don't mind taking it slow since I haven't ridden her since last year and haven't ridden her heavily for a few years. The stable is just 5 minutes from our house, so I'll be out there a lot!Secondly, the JayWalkers are back! As you may recall, last year a group of friends started a Relay For Life group in honor of our friend Jay who lost his battle to brain cancer last year. If you want to join our team or donate money for cancer research, just follow the links! We're Relaying in Des Moines this year and are excited--we had fun last year! I went to the first team meeting this evening and I'm already happier with the organization over last year's event.
Other than that, things have been the right amount of busy. This weekend we had game night at Grandma's and I went to Ames for supper with some girl friends. I had to work Saturday morning and we didn't get the patio furniture yet, but we did clean the house and we have finished and sent out all thank yous. I consider that a victory!
