A touch of Italy

I say a touch of Italy because we really only spent an afternoon in the country.  We hopped off the Bernina Express in a town called Tirano and had lunch.  Both Rick and I had pizza which was less saucy than I expected, but I think I'm too used to Americanized pizza.  Regardless, it was good.  We walked around Tirano a bit and then hopped back on the bus for a glimpse at scenic Italy.

After a few hours we stopped in Lecco along Lake Como.  Lake Como is Italy's 3rd largest lake and the deepest (1300 feet!) and very popular.  Apparently George Clooney has a villa along the shore, but we didn't see him anywhere.  We did, however, have some very delicious gelato!  After exploring the beautiful lake for a while, we hopped back on the bus and headed back into Switzerland--more on the Swiss later!
