Better than Sea World

Today at Salt Pond, I saw whales. Not the spouts off in the distance, actual whales. There I was, sitting on the beach in my towel after snorkeling, and the whales started breaching. Jumping, leaping out of the water and turning slightly as they slapped down into the water causing huge sprays. Two of them taking turns leaping about five times each, less than a mile from the shore. It was spectacular. After the breaching they tail slapped (which is just how it sounds). My mouth was literally open. It was so amazing.

Work is really busy and since our guys have been working everyday for over a week, the boss gave them tomorrow off which leaves me and Jeff (the other person from my group that went to Iowa last week) to do the work. I hope we're not doing it all since with the 8-10 man crew we get done around 4:30. Uff da. My interview for the new job is on Friday morning--we'll see how it goes. But the whales...

Aren't the whales just amazing?!?! I remember driving along Oahu one day and seeing a pod of 7 or so whales just frolicking off shore. We stopped and watched them for an hour or so. Sooo cool!!
I was at work when you called today- heard the phone and was too busy to grab it. Will call you with ideas for Oahu.
Knew you and Rick spent alot of time together, but didn't put 2&2 together. Duh!! Watch out- you know what happened to me in Hawaii- now it's almost 17 yrs married and 3 kids later! We have been together over 20 years- eeek!!
I'll give you a call soon. C.
