Wake me up when September ends

Remember that song? It was so overplayed when it first came out. Time keeps flying by and now September is almost over...

I honestly can't tell you if I've been busy or lazy or a combination thereof, but not a ton has happened since I last posted. Our paper hung in limbo with Nature Medicine for 10ish days before it was rejected, and we have resubmitted it to Science Translational Medicine. It went in today, so we'll see how this round goes.

ISU football was fun this past weekend--Allyson and Chad were at a wedding so my uncle John, cousin Andy, and his son Kael came down to the game. Kael is in 1st grade and it was his first Cyclone game--it was fun! And it was a good game and we won, can't ask for much more than that!

Monday I had a job interview! It was for a lab manager position with Pioneer. I think that it went really well, but time will tell. It would be a great position, but we'll see. They might want to hire someone before I graduate.

Last night Allyson and I went and saw Wicked! It was great and we had awesome seats--if you're in Iowa and haven't seen it, it will be in Des Moines until October 18th. Check it out!

Finished the statistics for our research so I'm planning on putting the final touches on my thesis tonight!! Plan on turning it in to my boss tomorrow and then it's out of my hands for a few days! Almost done!!!
