The weekend of the thesis

While most people are enjoying their 3-day weekend, I have dedicated mine to the completion of my degree. Friday I stayed in the office until 7:30 PM working on the big chapter of my thesis--the research chapter. Yesterday I went into the lab for about 4 hours to work on that one last experiment that will beef up my argument and spent the rest of the day/evening working on the literature review chapter of my thesis. And today I have big plans to work on Chapter 4--conclusions of the thesis and the presentation of the data. On Wednesday I have to present this data in lab meeting and in class, one a 45 minute presentation and the other 15 minutes. Truth be told, the shorter presentation will be the harder one. At least I can just shave off of the long one... If I get motivated, these are very realistic goals for the day. Now I just need the motivation.

Monday I'm giving myself the day off and I'm going to hang out with friends on the holiday. So I have to be productive today.

An update on my aunt--she's still hanging in there. Her son moved his wedding up from March to today so she could be there and last I heard she was doing well enough to attend. It's still too early to know how the clinical trial is working, but thank you all for your well-wishes--every little bit helps! Keep them coming!
