Little Miss Kendall

I'm an aunt!  My sister gave birth to her little bundle of joy on Tuesday, December 11th just before 7 PM.  They didn't know the sex ahead of time, but they have a beautiful baby girl and named her Kendall Elizabeth.  Not unsurprisingly she's a pretty tall baby: 22 inches and 8 lbs.  She is so adorable, and both mom and baby were doing well from the very start.  I thought I'd share a few pictures without exploiting their new little one.
We were lucky to meet Kendall about an hour after she was born.  I love this picture because Allyson was so excited to share her little bundle of joy with us.  It's not the greatest picture, but it is the greatest face.  So proud, excited, and happy all at once.  Kendall's a pretty cute little baby!
A family picture the following day at the hospital.  They have since moved in at home and are adjusting to each other and trying to figure out schedules and such.  It's funny; the day Kendall was born I couldn't wait for my baby to be born because I felt so close to it all but so far away at the same time.  I have been to see her twice since, and today, after holding her at home and spending time with Allyson and Chad, I found myself extremely content with the way things are right now as they are.  I am so happy for them and so in love with this little girl that I can't even imagine how it will be in a few short days when our baby decides to arrive.  Our family is so blessed to have the love that we already share and now to add two little ones at once is so much to be grateful for.  And to have to little girls--they will be the best of friends, now our little one just needs to come!
And lastly, a picture of me with sweet little Kendall.  It's funny, because here I am, less than a week before my due date, and I think it's hard to tell I'm pregnant in this picture.  Also funny is the fact that I used my belly to help hold Kendall when I was sitting and my little one, her cousin, was kicking her.  Already picking on each other!  I can't wait for our little one to be born so they can grow together and my sister and I can continue to go through this journey together.  It won't be long now; my due date is Monday and I have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday.  It sounded like if she hasn't arrived on her own by Friday, our little nugget will likely get an eviction notice.  As anxious as we have been lately, it's still so unreal that the time is almost here!

Congrats - I'm sure Grandma Judy is over the moon! Here's hoping your own special delivery is just in time for Christmas :)
