4 months old!

Sadly there's not too much new here to report, mostly because we've been sick.  Both Natalie and I were running fevers and had terrible coughs this week and we're both now on antibiotics.  We also both went to the doctor on the weekend--just how you want to spend your free time.  I spent Monday at home with her since she was sick Sunday night, but she was back to daycare on Tuesday and has been feeling better since getting some medication.  Somehow Rick has escaped the bug for now, but it's still too soon to say that he's in the clear.

Natalie had her 4-month check up this week as well and she is still topping the length charts.  We're not sure where she gets her height since both Rick and I are average height at best.  She had more shots this time and I was less bothered by them, I think because she was already screaming before they gave them to her so I couldn't tell when the shots happened.  It's tough being a baby.
This weekend has been amazingly beautiful and we spent some time outside both days.  Yesterday Natalie supervised while I did some gardening and then we spent some time talking to the neighbors.  I was surprised at how long we were outside considering she hasn't been out much before; I figured she would get fussy with something or another whether it was too bright or boring or windy but she was a trooper.  Both days we went for a walk--she loves looking out of the stroller at the world.  She also looks pretty cool in her sunglasses and doesn't hate them and rip them off.  Yet.
After her shots on Wednesday I swung by work with her which was nice.  I try not to talk about her too much at work and only tell stories when people ask, but it's hard.  But it was good to show her off so that everyone who hears the stories can put an adorable face to that name.  I'm pretty friendly with my coworkers so it's nice to share my little girl with them.
To end with a cute story: this week at daycare they had a fire drill which had never crossed my mind.  How do 2 people evacuate 8 babies?  They have two cribs that are evacuation cribs with sturdy wheels and they put the bigger babies in one and the smaller babies in the other and wheel them outside.  Well, apparently Natalie was really scared during this whole process so she held another little girl's hand the whole time.  Apparently when they got back inside they had to pry their little hands apart.  How cute is that?

Hopefully the household is on the mend.  I hope everyone enjoyed the wonderful weather!
