Friday night I went with some friends from work to Polihale Beach, the longest beach in Hawai'i. It's also a favorite of locals--very remote and very beautiful. The road out there is horrendous and you have to let air out of your tires or you'll never be able to drive away (the joke is that it's cheaper to buy a new car than have it towed out of Polihale). Anyway, we sat around and ate and drank around the fire and I slept on the beach under amazing stars. Thought I would share some pictures.

Just to show how huge the cliffs are, there's my jeep and a truck. Massive cliffs.

Our campsite. Were were at the end of the beach where the sand meets the Na Pali Coast--the cliffs plunge into the ocean.

A sunset at Salt Pond Beach. Not Polihale, but this is what I see every Tuesday night with some friends. I usually snorkel in the area on the shoreside of the rock wall before the sun starts to fall.

Matt and I are so jealous of you right now. We are looking at snow and you are looking at that!! I hate you, but love you all at the same time.
