Another week gone

I have things to write, but not the energy to write them. Therefore, bullets:
  • This week at work was pretty bad. The crew was giving me a hard time for giving one of my workers time off and I stood up for myself on Thursday. It was horrible. I remember thinking how much I hated my job that day. But, on the plus side, I seem to have earned some respect.
  • Friday night Rick and I went to the big island rivalry game (there's 3 high schools on the island)--it was a good time. Lots of people there, maybe 1000 or so.
  • Power on the island has been shady. Apparently we're in a drought and the hydro is not helping out the power plant. Friday night the power was out at the football game for about 15 minutes; other places on the island lost power for over 2 hours. Saturday we lost cable and phone for most of the afternoon and there was a loss of power again in Lihue Saturday afternoon.
  • Worked with the horse on Saturday, she kicked at my head. I have asked a friend to help me out--I think she's more than I can handle.
  • Got invited to a party on Saturday and showed up early, had a good time anyway.
  • Went camping last night--drove all the way to the north shore and put up the new tent in the dark. Hung out with friends, but when we went to crawl in the new (small) tent, found it was really stuffy. So we opened the rain fly and there were a thousand different noises and there was no way I was going to get any sleep. Then my back started to hurt so bad I thought I was going to puke; Rick and I packed up and headed home from Ke'e around 3:30 AM. We got home around 5. Uff da.
  • My back kept me out of commission all day. Spent Sunday in bed and on the couch. If my stretching and pain killers don't help, I'll be heading to the doctor tomorrow.
  • Turns out my friend Rhian may be moving to Iowa soon as well. Weird. But cool.
  • Still waiting on ISU.
  • How about them Cyclones? It was totally worth getting up early on a Saturday to see the Hawks lose to the Clones. Go ISU!

That's all for me for tonight. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night with all the commotion and my back's still hurting something terrible. Hopefully I'll have some good news soon. Enjoy the fall weather--it's still 85 and sunny every day here--trust me, it gets old....

I hope things get better for your back...I know that isn't fun! Do you have a pillow to sit on anymore? :) Thanks for keeping us posted as always! ~Scarlett
