News from ISU

I heard back from ISU yesterday with a little mixed review:

"The admissions committee reviewed your application and they indicated that if a faculty member at Iowa State was interested in your application, they would recommend admission. We have sent out information on your application to faculty and we did not receive a response at this time. We have faculty looking for graduate students interested in plant genetics research but we do not have animal genetics faculty looking for graduate students at this time. We will keep your application open till November 1 to see if any interest develops."

So the college will take me if a professor wants me in their lab. The admissions lady said the faculty gets new funding in October, so there's a chance they may take on more students. Looks like I have some e-mails to send....
