Superferry blocks off harbor
Generally I try and stay out of controversial issues and politics and such, but in response to the protesters in Nawiliwili Harbor against the Superferry, the Coast Guard has decided to close off the harbor to the public when the ferry is in harbor. That's 2-3 hours a day when the harbor will not be accessible to anyone. No paddling practice, no fishing boats heading out, no sailboats, no racing. The improvements for the harbor to bring in the Superferry were paid with taxpayers' dollars, and now they're trying to take the harbor away from these same taxpayers. Things are going to get much uglier very soon...

I saw the news about protest around the first landing and wondered if you were one of the swimmers blocking off the harbour. :)
