This past week has been pretty busy-- studying like crazy for my statistics final in hopes of pulling off a good grade (still not posted, fingers crossed!) and the test was Wednesday. Since then, I've had time to breathe, and breathing is good (though I have come down with some sort of cold and chest congestion...)

Thursday was a good day. Not only was I done with statistics, but Rick and I found a house that we really liked! It felt way more homey than the other house I talked about a few weeks ago. It's a new house and it's so nice and has 95% of what we're looking for... we're going to go put an offer on it this morning!!! I can give you details later, but I don't have a ton of time this morning before we go make the offer... :)

Thursday night I went to an ornament party with some friends here in
Ames and had a great time. And then Friday was a busy day training a co-worker how to take over my
responsibilities and then graduation! My parents came down for the ceremony as did my Grandma and John and my sister and her husband. We all went out to eat at
Aunt Maude's before the ceremony. It was so nice to have them there for support at the ceremony!

I couldn't have done it without all of their support, especially Rick. I think the first year I asked every day if I could quit. I think I was only 85% kidding every time I asked.

Today we're headed to my Grandpa's for the first family Christmas of the season (after we put the offer on the house, of course)! I'm so excited and ready to get in the Christmas spirit!

Last weekend we also got to babysit our friends' 5-month old--she's so cute! I was a little jealous that I needed to study while
Caelyn visited and also jealous that she would babble to Rick but not me. Oh well, I fed her and changed her, so we know who her real favorite was ;) She is such a good baby--she never really cried and when she got fussy she was fine when you picked her up. She just wants to be taller and see the world from a different view--can you blame her?

For those of you travelling for holidays, please travel safely! Not sure when I'll post again, so Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas if I don't post between now and then. May your holidays be filled with family, friends, and most of all, love.
