Recovering

Hello all. Not much new to report here except yesterday I didn't take any pain medication for my mouth until supper time. And, so far today, I'm drug-free. So that's exciting. I think I'm finally healing. I gave up on soft food on Thursday night and had pizza and haven't looked back since. It's been a long week. I'm not good at being sub-par. Thank goodness Rick's a patient guy...

Left work on a very positive note on Friday, but tomorrow's not going to be fun. My department has decided that I need more employees (true) and so I get 2 more as of tomorrow. Current employees that know the ropes, but also employees that require a certain amount of supervision and cultural barriers may cause some problems. Plus, I have an issue to address with my current employee. I don't mind supervising (though having my employees older than my parents causes a little uneasiness), but I do mind not being able to trust my employees. I have enough to worry about in my own job without having to wonder if they're doing what I asked... My first real supervisory challenge. I think it will go ok--time will tell.

Laid low this weekend. Actually at Josh's gym (my roommate's boyfriend) watching it for him this morning. Kristin and Josh have been in Canada for the past week visiting her family. It's been nice having the house to myself, but at the same time it will be nice to have her back. I'm social, what can I say? I haven't heard much from her all week, so I'll have to see how it went when she gets back this afternoon.

Other than that, planning my future, getting excited for Japan (we leave in 39 days!), tyring to lease out Maggie, cleaning my house, recovering. Hope all is well and thanks for all the encouragement through the whole teeth thing. Uff da.

I wonder if it's just a weird coincidence that the ad running on your blog now is for an oral surgeon. Do you suppose they've been reading about your trials and tribulations? Good talking to you the other day. I'll check with Jenny Tyler this AM about a stable. Love you more. Grandma

Mine are coming out May 22 and you have made my decision final - I will be completely out of it for the entire procedure. Maybe I can just be kept under for a week or so until the pain is gone too... I hope you're feeling better soon!
