Flossie Update

Hurricane watched issued for the Big Island--they have closed schools there tomorrow and are preparing. They say Flossie is supposed to pass south of the island chain, but the Big Island has the best chance of getting hit. We were issued an emergency plan at work today and everyone is pseudo-preparing. Perhaps the most unsettling is that co-workers that were here in 1992 when Iniki ravaged Kauai say Flossie is taking the same course. Tonight we're a little on edge; tomorrow we will probably be preparing--putting garbage bags on big electronics, taping windows...that is, if we're still feeling it has a chance of hitting. We won't know for sure until Thursday night. We'll be on edge until then.
