Flossie update, still unsure what the situation is. It's now heading west and they expect it to die down a little over cooler waters. Current path puts it 70 miles south of the Islands. But, I guess you never know until it gets closer--they don't expect it to hit until Thursday. I bought some canned goods and bottled water. And I guess that's all I can do for now.

Weekends are the best
After working until 7PM on Friday night and working a few hours on Saturday (below is the old sugar mill by our cornfields), I was more than excited to do nothing for the rest of the weekend.
Rick and I went to the movies and then headed up to meet our friends at the 'mansion cabin' up in Koke'e. We were all getting together to watch the Perseid meteor shower last night away from all the lights and all civilization.
The cabin was huge and awesome. I was so glad we were invited to stay!
Check out how huge the interior is! There were 3 bathrooms and at least 4 bedrooms. Very nice.
And the Persieds weren't bad either. It was pretty cold up there and we were all out on the lawn watching the falling stars. I was expecting them to fall more frequently than they did. But I really slept well in the cooler weather.

Hey Ashley! I check in on your blog every couple days, and just wanted to say that these first two pictures are just beautiful! (yeah, even the sawmill) and look like they could be framed and put up! Anyway, have a great week!
