More from Iwakuni--In order to get to the castle at the top of the mountain, we had to take the cable car. Rick doesn't like heights, but he was a trooper. 
Iwakuni is the home of the white snake--a mutation that has been stabilized to make its own species. Apparently Iwakuni is the only place in the world where you can find these snakes. They are considered a Japanese natural monument and are also supposed to be good luck. Look creepy to me...
